There are many things in life that I truly like. I like spending time with family and friends. I like teaching and seeing kids learn and grow. I like having the chance to spend time with wonderful individuals and families to capture their special memories with my camera. I have even been known to like a good challenging workout (although, I haven’t done many lately – and it’s starting to show…so perhaps I wouldn’t like this particular item quite as much as I once did until I get myself in gear again =)
But amidst of all these things I like and love, I just made a realization that there is something I do NOT like. I do NOT like to face this one, big, singular fact about my kids, and I was reminded of it this evening as I spoke with two of my lovely brides about their weddings that are coming up within the next two weeks. So without further adieu, here it is… The thing I don’t like…
One day, I’m going to have to be the “Father of the Bride”. One day, I’m going to have to let a young woman steal my son. And I’m not going to like that one bit.
This is probably the point at which I should be mature, and talk about how I’m praying for just the right girl/guy to come along and enjoy life with my son and daughter. And don’t get me wrong, I want my kids to be happy – and I know this is a big part of life. Sorry though, I’m not feeling very mature right now. Instead, I will share with you that I just don’t like the concept of having my kids grow up so fast…eventually leaving my house to live lives of their own. Therefore, my wife and I decided that some more pictures of our kiddos were long over due.
So – enjoy these little frozen moments in time that are so special to me and my lovely wife, and let me know if I can help you freeze a moment or two for you this holiday season…
For the life of us, we just couldn’t get very many giggles/smiles from Raegan this evening…but she’s still just as cute as every (And dressed to the nines too =)
Rae LOVES her older brother. He hugs her, lets her touch his face, pinch his nose, etc. It’s great to see them interact, and really warms my heart!
One of the few laughs we got out of Raegan this evening was courtesy or big-bro.
Cute! No other words really describe this… Just CUTE!
My handsome little man
